Public Works

The Public Works Department is responsible for the general maintenance and care of the city, with divisions including Code Enforcement and Municipal Services.

Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Division conducts building inspections for both residential and business structures, reviews building plans, and is responsible for issuing and reviewing permits.

Municipal Services

Municipal Services is responsible for upkeep of the city's streets, parks, and the Municipal Garage.  

Permit Applications

Due to the COVID-19, the Inspectors are only performing no contact inspections on vacant/unoccupied homes.

Please keep in mind, there may be a longer than normal turnaround for voicemails and emails. We ask that you please be patient during this time.

Turnaround time for voicemails and emails is 2-3 business days.

If you are calling and leave a voicemail, please make sure to leave a detailed message with the address. Also, please do not leave multiple messages.

Turnaround time for all permits (building and occupancy) is 2-3 business days.

Turnaround time for all inspections will be 3-7 business days.
