The Ferguson Neighborhood Improvement Program (FNIP) is a not-for-profit housing corporation operated by the City of Ferguson.

Serves to promote the central business district of Ferguson to the public.

Housing Board of Appeals- 7 members, 3 year terms, Chair Call


Hears and rules on the appeals of property owners related to the enforcement of the city’s Exterior Appearance Code and Homestead Program.

Human Rights Commission- 7 members, 3 year terms, Chair Call


Serves to receive and hear complaints related to human rights violations and advise the City Council on possible legislative or policy changes to prevent discrimination as prohibited in Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code.

Jeske Park Sculpture Garden Commission- 5 members, 1 year terms, Chair Call


Serves give advice and direction to the City regarding the planning, development, and maintenance of the sculpture garden at Jeske Park. The Commission will also advise the City on the solicitation, procurement, and display of sculpture art within the sculpture garden.

Advises the City Council and other boards and commissions on matters of historic significance.

Determines the purpose of the Ferguson Municipal Public Library and adopts policies to oversee and review the administration of the library.

Park Board- 9 members, 3 year terms


Serves to review and recommend rules, regulations, plans budgets, fees, and procedures related to the administration of the Parks and Recreation Department.

Pension Board- 7 members (3 citizens, 3 employees, Finance Director), 3 year terms


Oversees the pension fund of the city, including the exclusive and final determination of claims, benefits, refunds, and other disputes which may occur.

Serves to investigate and advise the City Manager and City Council on matters related to personnel administration.

Members assist the council with long-range the goals of the community related to a master plan, reviews and recommends zoning and/or zoning changes, and advises developers on projects appropriate to the master plan and zoning ordinance.

Serves to protect the needs of Ferguson’s senior citizens and to utilize their talents and abilities for the betterment of the community.
