Fitness Programs & Classes

The City of Ferguson offers a variety of fitness programs for all. Below is a list of our current programs. For more information on these or future programs please see our current brochure. Even if a fitness class has started, it may not be to late to get involved. We do occasionally pro-rate classes for late registrations if space is available, contact us today for more information.

All fitness classes are held at the Ferguson Community Center, 1050 Smith Ave.

Aerobics Classes
High-Impact Aerobics: This fitness program is designed for all skill levels. High Impact will improve your heart rate, increase energy levels, as well as improve strength and flexibility. Students may register for one, two, or three days depending on their fitness goals and weekly schedule. Please bring towels, weights, and water to class. 
Yoga is for everyone. Until you do it you have no idea how profoundly this step will change your life. This is classical Yoga as the movements are slow and usually held for a certain amount of time, an act of cooperation of earth and space. Not only will you improve your overall health, yoga will aid in injury prevention as well as help with muscular imbalance and calming the mind and spirit. We ask please be on time for class, bring a towel, and a mat. You can try one or both of the classes. 
    Tai Chi
    The slow, dance-like speed of Tai Chi facilitates balance, flexibility, and calmness, with an emphasis on deep breathing and mental imagery. Tai Chi benefits your mind and body by relieving stress, improving balance, and promoting an active lifestyle.
      Zumba is the new fitness program that is sweeping the nation. It fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness workout that will blow you away. We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba participants experience an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements.
