We are so excited to be able to celebrate the 4th of July with everyone this year! Things will look a little different this year as we are keeping our residents safety in mind. Due to the COVID-19 guidelines and policies, we will NOT be having a 4th of July Festival, but WILL be having an amazing Parade and spectacular Fireworks Display!!!
Join us for our 4th of July Parade beginning at 2:00pm! The parade will begin at Plaza at 501 and travel down Florissant Rd, ending at January-Wabash Park. This year’s theme is "Parading Out of the Pandemic". We are asking our residents to practice social distancing along the parade route. If you are within 6 feet of another person, we ask that you wear your face mask.
Parade Categories Best Decorated: This is awarded to the entry who goes above and beyond the decoration of their float. This includes overall appearance of vehicle, special effects, and/or sound. Best Theme: This is awarded to the entry who goes above and beyond the set parade theme (Parading out of the Pandemic). This includes overall appearance of vehicle and walkers/marchers. Best Musical Walking/Marching Group: This award is awarded to the best walking/marching group based upon overall appearance, precision, music selection, and special effects. Best Walking/Marching Unit (No Music): This award is awarded to the best walking/marching group based upon overall appearance, precision, and special effects. Best Antique Automobile Unit: This award is given to the entry that has the best antique automobile unit in the parade. Mayor’s Trophy: This award is decided by the Mayor of Ferguson. Len Winter’s Memorial Award: This award is the overall winner. Judges will take into consideration all factors of the float and award this trophy to the most imaginable overall winner.
Beginning at approximately 9:15pm, we will have our spectacular Fireworks Display in the area of January-Wabash Memorial Park! We ask that residents observe social distancing and avoid large gatherings at the park. You can watch the fireworks from many of the areas surrounding the park.
