Interior Inspection Change- Residential Rental Properties

The Mayor and City Council recently passed legislation, effective July 1, 2014, that will change the way the interior inspection program is carried out. All interior inspections will now be conducted by city staff instead of a third-party inspector.

The Mayor and City Council recently passed legislation, effective July 1, 2014, that will change the way the interior inspection program is carried out. Third-party inspections will no longer be utilized. All interior inspections will be conducted by city staff.

This change will result in lower fees, $75 with one re-inspection any additional re-inspections will be $25 and greater consistency for the property owners. It will also provide greater oversight of the maintenance and care of the rental housing stock in our community.
