The Housing & Neighborhood Resource Center offers many various programs and services that are available to assist current and potential residents with their housing needs. These programs & services include the following:
The Custom Home Improvement Loan (CHIL) Program, through UMB Bank of St. Louis, offers home improvement loans of up to $25,000 on favorable terms to Ferguson residents who own and occupy their homes.
The FNIP Loan Fund that makes loans to income-eligible Ferguson homeowners whose homes have emergency health and safety needs.
The Home Equity Assurance Program is a neighborhood stabilization strategy developed to assure property values for an extended period of time. A five-year waiting period was established by the FNIP Board of Directors to fulfill that time requirement. It gives residents confidence that they have a sound investment in their community. Of course, the residence may be sold at any time but the guaranteed value established by the program is only in effect after five years.
Graduation Gift is a grant of $2,500 offered annually, typically in June, that may be applied toward the purchase of a home in Ferguson. The gifts are sponsored by FNIP and UMB Bank of St. Louis.
