In the fall of 2014, City representatives met with representatives from the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE) to discuss the establishment of a Citizen Review Board for the City of Ferguson. The Mayor made civilian appointments to the Citizen Review Board Task Force in early November. The composition of the Task Force included clergy, residents, business owners, police, and administration. The Task Force was tasked with studying civilian oversight to make recommendations on the establishment of a Citizen Review Board to the Mayor and City Council.
