Proposed solutions for upgrading I-270 in North St. Louis County have been developed and MoDOT wants to know what you think. A public open house will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Hazelwood Civic Center East, 8969 Dunn Road.
I-270 is one of the oldest freeways in the United States. The I-270 North Environmental Assessment is studying proposed improvements from the I-70 interchange on the west to the Chain of Rocks Bridge on the east. It is the next step in addressing congestion, safety, mobility (the movement of people or goods), accessibility to area businesses and residences, and aging infrastructure. Proposed solutions can be viewed online at www.I-270North.org anytime between March 19 and April 1, 2014. There will be an online comment form.
