[ARCHIVED] City of Ferguson and St. Louis County join KMOX’s Charlie Brennan for Ferguson Clean-Up Day


What: The City of Ferguson, St. Louis County and KMOX’s Charlie Brennan sponsor a clean-up day on West Florissant Avenue with hopes of reviving the community in unification as hundreds commit to volunteering.

When: Monday, July 27th
8:30 a.m. -11:00 a.m.

Where: Future site of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis Job Training Center, 9420 West Florissant Ave. Ferguson, MO 63136

Who: City of Ferguson Representatives, KMOX’s Charlie Brennan, St. Louis County, Former NFL Player and Pastor Aeneas Williams and The Spirit Church, Amputees from Wounded Warriors, Teamsters Local 600, the American Institute of Architects, 36 students from Peace Lutheran Church in Waunakee, WI., and over 130 volunteers

Significance: Hundreds of volunteers and community partners will join the City of Ferguson and KMOX’s Charlie Brennan as they sweep the streets of West Florissant Avenue to ensure a hopeful rebound and warm welcome to locals and visitors.

Ample parking will be available at Forestwood Park on Ferguson Avenue including a shuttle service provided by the City of Ferguson to and from the scheduled sites. Breakfast and lunch will be provided by local partners including The Pasta House, McDonalds, White Barn Burgers, Old Town Donuts and many more. Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, trash bags, family and friends to assist in the community-wide effort.
