Event will give Ferguson’s local residents, business owners & other community members an opportunity to shape new initiative
WHAT: This coming Saturday, November 7, the Ferguson Police Department will hold the first of several meetings aimed at implementing a Neighborhood Policing program within the City of Ferguson. Neighborhood policing involves teams of officers that are assigned to work with residents and businesses in a specific area of a community with the goal of building positive and strong working relationships. During Saturday’s kick-off session, those attending will learn about the steps needed to implement a Neighborhood Policing program why it’s important Ferguson residents, community members and other stakeholders work together in creating a plan for the initiative, thus making the city a safer place to live and work.
