This year's sale is set for Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Your house will be listed on the map of yard sale homes. Here are a few other details to keep in mind:
Yard Signs: Beginning May 18th,
yard signs will again be available to purchase or rent for $5. Residents
or churches that participated last year and kept their signs may re-use them.
Participants who need signs can pick them up by paying a refundable deposit of
$5. The deposit will be refunded after the yard sale, if the signs are
returned in good condition, or you can choose to keep your sign for future use
in lieu of a refund.
Sign
Pick-Up: Signs may be picked up at the
Ferguson Community Center on Saturday, May 19th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00
a.m. Signs also may be picked up at City Hall, 110 Church Street, May 21st
– June 1st, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Payment must be cash
or check, and only one sign per household will be available. If you pay by check, we will hold your check
and return it to you when you return the sign.
Sign
Refunds: Refunds of sign deposits will be
available at City Hall Monday, June 4th through Friday, June 18th, from
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No deposits will be refunded after June 18th.
Signs must be returned in good condition, and only one refund per household
will be given. Positive identification will be required for the
refunds. Signs that were rented a previous year are not eligible for a
refund. Participating households are
encouraged to take down their signs as soon as possible to prevent theft. If you paid by check, your original check
will be returned to you. If you choose
to keep your sign, your check will be deposited in early June.
Other Signs: We are not able to place signs at
intersections of high traffic areas to lead people to your home. You may do so if you would like, but remember
to remove them after the sale. Call and
ask us if we have any extra signs you may use for this purpose.
Maps: On Friday, June 1st
after 5 pm, maps pinpointing participating yard sale homes will be available
online at www.fergusoncity.com and
also at Paul’s Market at 1020 N. Elizabeth. Starting at 7:00 a.m. on June 10, maps may be picked up at Ferguson Farmers’
Market (501 South Florissant) and at Paul’s Market at 1020 N. Elizabeth Street
when they open.
Inclement
Weather: The event will not be
rescheduled in the case of rain. Each
household can individually decide if they are willing and able to hold their
sale despite the weather.
