Permits are not typically issued for single-family residential areas. However, the fire department can issue a burn permit for bonfires if all of the safety requirements have been met, including the fire being at least 50 feet from a building.Fire Department

All permits are issued by the City’s Public Works Department. The Fire Department will do the plan review simultaneously with Public Works and forward comments to them. Once all comments/concerns have been addressed, the actual permit will be issued by Public Works.Fire Department

Absolutely! The Ferguson Fire Department welcomes community members, schools, and organizations to schedule fire station tours. Our firefighters enjoy showing visitors around, demonstrating our equipment, and sharing what we do to keep Ferguson safe.
Please note that even scheduled tours are always subject to emergency calls—our crews may need to respond at any time. If that happens, we’ll gladly work with you to reschedule your visit.
